In Nov. 2022 I was asked "Why is your continued investment in sustainability important to your organization?" My answer: "We are members of the printing industry. An industry that has been commercially viable since 1450. It is in our best interest to reduce, reuse, and recycle so the very existence of print manufacturing supports these sustainable business initiatives." Since 2015 we have implemented the following initiatives. We - no longer use Isopropyl Alcohol; sort and recycle paper waste; only use Soy inks; recycle our aluminum plates; recycle our #4 plastic through Trex; insulate water pipes in our heating system; collect and filter distilled water from our air conditioner to use in the plant; and upgraded to LED lighting.
