Ver Duin’s Inc. was founded in 1931 by Claude Ver Duin. Claude published the Fisherman Magazine, the trade journal to the commercial fishing industry in Michigan. Claude’s wife Fern Ver Duin later started the advertising arm of Ver Duin’s Inc. with the help and expertise of her father Olaf Gylleck. Their son Bob Ver Duin now owns the company and runs it with the help of his son Mike. Mike Ver Duin is the general manager and runs the day-to-day operations, including sales and marketing.
