The New Orleans Community Printshop & Darkroom (NOCPD) provides the greater New Orleans community with public access to affordable printmaking, darkroom and art-making equipment, training, and services. NOCPD helps independent artists & community members grow in their artistic practice through printmaking & educational opportunities for adults and youth regardless of ability to pay. HOW WE WORK The NOCPD is a volunteer-based collective that aims to have a structure that is highly transparent & non-hierarchical. We share the responsibility of organizing programming (incl. public events), shop maintenance and administrative tasks. Open shop is usually every Thursday from 6-9:30pm - check our Instagram for the latest public hours.
